Dr. Berdjis attended medical school in Germany and Switzerland, and completed his pediatric training at Cook County Hospital and the University of Chicago. He completed his pediatric cardiology fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. He then joined the German Heart Institute of Berlin as a faculty member for three years. The institute was one of the first large centers to provide services to adults with congenital heart disease (CHD) in Europe, and remains one of the largest centers worldwide
Dr. Berdjis specializes in interventional cardiac catheterization. His clinical interests include adults with CHD. He currently facilitates and directs the regional program dedicated to adults with CHD at St. Joseph Hospital of Orange. His philosophy is to achieve the best long-term outcome for patients with CHD with the use of catheter interventions whenever possible and feasible.
Dr. Berdjis’ interests include travel, music and sports. He is fluent in English and German
